START
Tjejmilen’s start- and finish area is at the Sjöhistoriska museum in Stockholm. The first start is at 13.00. A perfect time – regardless if you are a sleepyhead, planning on a late Friday night or if you’re traveling to Stockholm that Saturday morning.
FUN RUN OR COMPETITION CLASS
Tjejmilen is a race for everyone. You can decide whether you want to race for a fast time and good position or if you just want to take it easy and enjoy the race atmosphere.
There are 12 different start groups for different levels of runners. But keep in mind that registration for a certain start group will close once it’s full – so make sure to register for the race in time. You also get to decide whether you want to be in the Competition Class – in which case your time will appear in the official results on the website, or if you want to run the Fun Run (start groups 5-12) without recording your time. In the past few years approximately 65 % of participants have entered the Competition Class. If you decide to run the Fun Run you get to pick which start group out of groups 5 to 11 you want to register in.
If you enter the Competition Class your official finish time for 10K will be recorded, and you will also see your 5K split. These times appear in the results on the website and also on a diploma which you can download from Tjejmilen’s website after the race. If you decide to enter in the Competition Class you can choose to enter in any start group. Pick an early group if you want to run fast and a later group if you want to jog or walk. However, groups 1 to 4 are reserved for the fastest runners who have recorded any of the following times in 2022 or 2023:

THE Jubilee course
For Tjejmilen’s grand 40th anniversary in 2024, we’ve designed a unique course exclusive to this year. Precisely measured, the route spans 10,000 meters, starting and finishing at the Sjöhistoriska Museum. The course winds from Djurgården, along Strandvägen, to the Royal Palace, and then circles back to the Sjöhistoriska Museum. Click on the image to view a video of the course. A detailed map will be published soon. As always, there will be plenty of energy and hydration stations along the way.
RUN WITH A PINK BIB
When you register for Tjejmilen, you can choose to run the race for Plan International Sweden and support their work for children’s rights and girl’s equality. Just tick the box that you want to donate an extra 8€ to Plan International. As a ’thank you”, you will get to run the race with a pink Tjejmilen bib as a symbol for your contribution.
