START
Tjejmilen’s start- and finish area is close to Filmhuset at Gärdet in Stockholm. The first start is at 13.00. A perfect time – regardless if you are a sleepyhead, planning on a late Friday night or if you’re traveling to Stockholm that Saturday morning.
FUN RUN OR COMPETITION CLASS
Tjejmilen is a race for everyone. You can decide whether you want to race for a fast time and good position or if you just want to take it easy and enjoy the race atmosphere.
There are 11 different start groups for different levels of runners. But keep in mind that registration for a certain start group will close once it’s full – so make sure to register for the race in time. You also get to decide whether you want to be in the Competition Class – in which case your time will appear in the official results on the website, or if you want to run the Fun Run (start groups 5-11) without recording your time. In the past few years approximately 65 % of participants have entered the Competition Class. If you decide to run the Fun Run you get to pick which start group out of groups 5 to 11 you want to register in.
If you enter the Competition Class your official finish time for 10K will be recorded, and you will also see your 5K split. These times appear in the results on the website and also on a diploma which you can download from Tjejmilen’s website after the race. If you decide to enter in the Competition Class you can choose to enter in any start group. Pick an early group if you want to run fast and a later group if you want to jog or walk. However, groups 1 to 4 are reserved for the fastest runners who have recorded any of the following times in 2021 or 2022:
